We will be showing a feature film the first and third Wednesday of every month. Under 18 not admitted. . All movies start at 1PM.

Tuesday Night Knitting Club
For adults and teens.  Beginners and experienced knitters and crocheters are welcome to join our knitting circle!
Tuesday nights @ 6:30 PM Come if you can – No registration necessary

Canasta Club 
Come any Tuesday at 10:00 AM for a pickup game of Canasta with your neighbors and friends!

Art for Adults Night  Experiment with a different paint and materials and explore your use of color and unconventional applicators. We have the supplies and you have the creativity. Sign up with a friend and have double the fun!
March 4 – Gouche on white paper – Registration begins February 5
April 1 – Oil pastels – Registration begins March 4
May 6 – Gouche on black paper – Registration begins April 1

Blind Date with a Book – We will have a book wrapped up, with only the first line written. Check it out and go on a blind date! For every book you check out (up to three), you can fill out a raffle ticket. You can’t judge a book by it’s cover now! We will have books for adults, teens and kids available throughout the month of February.

Spring Book Sale  Our annual Spring Book Sale will take place starting Saturday April 18 and continuing until Thursday, April 23. The library will begin taking donations of dust-free and mold free books and DVDs beginning April 1.

Narcan Training  The Village of East Rockaway, ERFD, and the ER Schools Prevention Task Force will host Narcan training presented by Councilman Anthony D’Esposito.  The training includes how to identify an overdose victim, how to administer the Narcan, contacting emergency officials, Narcan certification and a Narcan kit.  Wednesday, March 25 @ 7:00 PM.

Yoga for All  All are welcome to join registered yoga instructor Jeanette Richetti for an hour of gentle yoga that can be modified with the use of a chair.  There is a fee of $12 per class paid at the door. No registration is necessary, just come if you can. Tuesdays @ 6:15 PM.  

Watercolors for Everyone  All ages are welcome to sign up! Experiment with watercolors here at the library! Creativity abounds!  Monday, April 13 @ 2 PM. Registration begins March 30

AARP Defensive Driving   The library will be hosting AARP Defensive Driving on Monday, March 16 and Monday, April 6 from 10 AM – 4:30 PM. The cost for this class is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members. Please make checks payable to AARP.  Your member number MUST be written on your check. Registration begins March 1.  

On-Site Mobile Shredding Service at the Library   Are you concerned about identity theft and unauthorized disclosure of private information?  American Security Shredding will be in the library parking lot to shred important and sensitive documents that you no longer need. Paper documents in paper bags or boxes only.  Papers in binders must be removed beforehand. Open to East Rockaway and Lynbrook library residents only.
