How do I get a library card?

If you are a resident of East Rockaway or of Bay Park, you must bring in two forms of ID. A driver's license or photo ID, recent bank statement, utility bill, car insurance documents, credit card statement are all acceptable.  Library cards are valid for a period of 3 years.  Cards for Bay Park Library District patrons expire according to the contract.

How do I get my child a library card?

Anyone who is under 18 is considered a juvenile at the library. A parent or guardian can bring in their personal ID and a recently dated bank statement and/or utility bill.

What is available at the library?

We have books, DVDs, video games, music CDs, books on CD and magazines! In addition, with your library card,  you have access to many different online sources, including ebooks and audiobooks that you can download to your mobile device.

Is there a limit to what I can take out?

DVDs – 12 
$1 a day DVDs – 3 per household
Music CDs – 12
Total items checked out at any one time – 100
Total holds allowable at any one time – 50
Number of renewals allowed on a renewable item – 2
